Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 19 – Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni departed Phnom Penh on Thursday (Dec. 19) for a visit to Hainan Province, the People's Republic of China, from 19-22 December 2024, at the invitation of the Chinese side.

The king will be accompanied by Minister of the Royal Palace Kuy Sophal and other senior officials of the Royal Palace

During the visit, the king will grant separate royal audiences to Hainan provincial leadership, and also to the teaching faculty and Cambodian students at Nanhai Buddhism Academy, according to the press release dated 17 December 2024.

The visit of the king to Hainan Province will further strengthen the bonds of close friendship between the peoples of Cambodia and China, and promote the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of Cooperation between the two countries.
