Phnom Penh (FN), Oct 1 - Hun Manet, lieutenant general in the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, led a delegation to pay visit to Gen. Philippe Errera, Director-General of the General Department of International Relations and Strategic Relations (DGRIS) of the French Defense Ministry in Paris.

The meeting aims to strengthen military cooperation of both countries.

Hun Manet thanked the French side for military cooperation, focusing on capacity building and language training.

Hun Manet also asked the French side to continue training the United Nations peacekeeping forces on expanding knowledge and technology.

In response, Gen. Philippe Errera warmly welcomed Hun Manet and his delegation during a tour of the French Defense Ministry.

General Philippe accepted the proposal and examined the possibility to train and build the capacity of young Cambodian soldiers according to the conditions of the French side.

This is Manet's third trip to European countries. Apart from this official visit, Hun Manet also plans to meet with Cambodian youth and students, Khmer-Chinese businessmen, and many Cambodians in countries of Europe.
