Phnom Penh (FN), September 5 – The representatives of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court on Tuesday officially charged Kem Sokha, the president of Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP), of committing treason.
CNRP’s president is facing a penalty of 15 to 30 years imprisonment based on article 443 of the criminal code, according to Ly Saphana, court spokesperson.
Kem Sokha was arrested at his home in Phnom Penh at 00:35 am on Sunday by justice police.
