Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 14 – Khuon Sudary, Cambodian President of the National Assembly, sent a condolence letter to Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China, over the Typhoon Yagi tragedy.

“I am deeply saddened to learn of the tragic loss of lives, widespread destruction of infrastructure and property, and the displacement of families caused by the recent natural disaster, Typhoon Yagi,” according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Saturday (Sep. 14).

“In this moment of profound sorrow, on behalf of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to the bereaved families for the loss of their loved ones in this tragedy.

The National Assembly of Cambodia stands in solidarity with the National People's Congress of China during this difficult time. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of those who perished and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. May China swiftly overcome this disaster.

Please accept, Honourable Chairman, the assurances of my highest consideration and my most sincere condolences.”
