Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 14 – Cambodian Senate President, Samdech Techo Hun Sen sent a condolence letter to President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam To Lam over Typhoon Yagi tragedy.

“It is with profound sadness to learn that Typhoon Yagi has hit the northern part of Viet Nam causing widespread destruction, including more than 200 deaths, more than 800 injured people, damaged or destroyed infrastructure, and the evacuation of many families,” according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Saturday (Sep. 14).

“In this moment of deep sorrow, on behalf of the people of Cambodia, I would like to express my sincere sympathy and condolences to you and through you to the families of the victims and the Government and the people of Viet Nam for these great losses. May the deceased rest in peace. I would like to wish the injured speedy and full recovery.
