Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 6 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Nippon Foundation for its contributions to the development of rehabilitation, education, and health in Cambodia.
The premier received a courtesy call by Ichiro Kabasawa, Executive Director of the Nippon Foundation, on 5 August 2024 at the Peace Palace.
Samdech Thipadei underlined that, given Cambodia's long history of civil war, rehabilitation is a priority for the Royal Government. He strongly hopes that the Nippon Foundation will continue to cooperate with the Royal Government to support this crucial sector.
For his part, the executive director of the Nippon Foundation praised the development and progress that Cambodia has achieved over the years.
Having cooperated with Cambodia for more than 30 years, Ichiro Kabasawa congratulated and appreciated Cambodia's success in training prosthetics and rehabilitation skills, as well as the Royal Government's success in launching social protection policies, especially the coverage of health services for Cambodians throughout the country. Through this cooperation, Cambodia has also provided training to some foreign students, which is a source of pride for the country.
