Phnom Penh (FN), August 17 - National Election Committee (NEC)'s spokesman, Hang Puthea, said that homeless people with a clarification letter from the authorities are eligible to vote.

Voter registration will begin on September 1 and end on November 9, a period of 70 days.

He added that migrant people also do not lose their rights to vote.

The NEC invites Cambodians who work or study abroad to return for registration because the law does not allow to register from anywhere outside Cambodia.

The spokesman also confirmed that criminals are ineligible to vote.
