Kep (FN), August 15 - An anonymous person placed an explosive device on an ABA ATM, destroying the machine on Tuesday morning.

The ATM was located in front of Dali Restaurant on National Road 33A North of Kep Beach, Kep City, Kep Province.

“This is a robbery case and police forces are working with investigators to hunt for the perpetrators,” said Kep Provincial police chief, Eng Sam Ol.

“The thieves did not successfully steal any sizable amount of cash as some of the money burned in the explosion,” he added.

This is the first case of this kind in Kep. Records indicate a similar explosion occurred once in Phnom Penh's Toul Kork district.
