Phnom Penh (FN), July 21 - China’s Henan Transport Investment company has provided vehicles and construction equipment worth about US$1 million to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport to participate in road maintenance and repair activities in Cambodia.

The handover ceremony was held in Phnom Penh on Friday.

Minister of Public Works and Transport, Sun Chanthol said at the event that the relationship between Cambodia and China has been strengthened and expanded in all sectors. The two sides are implementing deep cooperation in transportation infrastructure, linking one of China's political strategies.

He highlighted the completion of the master plan for highway development and roadmap for Cambodia's road network.

Henan has strengthened the capacity of 20 ministry officials on the construction of highway roads.

During the ceremony, Sun Chanthol told leaders of all units under the Ministry and Department of Public Works and Transport to pay attention to manage and use these materials properly in the right targets with responsibility.

Sun Chanthol thanked and admired Henan Transport Investment Company, especially the people and the government of China.
