Phnom Penh (FN), July 20 - Vietnam granted US$25 million for the construction of administrative buildings to the National Assembly of Cambodia.

The signing of MoU was presided over by Heng Samrin, N.A President, and Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyễn Phú Trọng.

Prior to signing MoU, Nguyễn Phú Trọng paid a courtesy call to N.A President Heng Samrin.

At the meeting, the two sides highlighted the friendly and good cooperation between the two countries which continue to grow.

"The presence of the Secretary-General and delegation prestigiously honors Cambodia and strengthens the relations between the two nations on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Cambodia-Vietnam diplomatic relation," said Heng Samrin.

Nguyễn Phú Trọng thanked N.A President for a warm hospitality and congratulated Cambodia on the rapid development on all sectors.

Nguyễn Phú Trọng expressed his delight at the friendship and cooperation between Cambodia and Vietnam.

The traditional friendship between both sides is a valuable property for the two countries, which needs to be maintained long term by the next generation.
