Phnom Penh (FN), July 12 – Kem Sokha, president of Cambodia National Rescue Party, left Cambodia for Thailand at 10 A.M on Wednesday, according to a CNRP official.

Kem Sokha is expected to stay three days in Thailand before returning home on Saturday.

Sokha left Cambodia after the National Assembly (N.A) fully adopted a proposed amendment of law on political parties law which would ban any political party that collaborates with a convict to further party's interests.

The amendment passed with a majority vote and was submitted to the senate.

The new amendment stipulates that all political parties shall not use voice messaging, portraits, letters, or actions of convicts; or hold open agreement or conspire with convicts to the benefit its own political party.
