Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 22 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet departed Phnom Penh on Monday (Apr. 22) to deliver a special address at the high-level opening of the eightieth session of the UN-ESCAP in Bangkok, Thailand.
The participation was made at the invitation of Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, Under-Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), according to Cambodian Foreign Ministry’s press release dated 17 April 2024.
Under the theme "Leveraging digital innovation for sustainable development in Asia and the Pacific", the annual session will deliberate about the potential of digital technology and ways to strengthen regional cooperation in addressing emerging global challenges and accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
