Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 7 – So Naro, Cambodian Delegate Minister in charge of ASEAN Affairs, highlighted that Australia's ruling party, the Labour Party, should warn Tak Meng Heang, the party’s member, for violating the party's principles by protesting against the warm welcome extended to Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet by the party's leader.

So Naro spoke during a press conference on Thursday (Mar. 7) after Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet concluded his visit to Australia.

"It is ironic that Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet received an invitation from Australia where Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is the leader of the ruling Labour Party. Tak Meng Heang, also a member of the Labour Party, led the demonstration against the visit. The Labour Party should warn Tak Meng Heang for violating the party's principles," the delegate minister underscored.

So Naro continued that Tak Meng Heang needed to understand the law because the Royal Government of Cambodia and members of the Cambodian ruling party, who attended the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit, did not interface with Australia's internal affairs.
