Phnom Penh (FN), June 23 - The Cambodian Ambassador to South Korea, Long Dimanche, has successfully persuaded Korean electronics giant LG to construct air-conditioning manufacturing complexes in Cambodia, not only supplying the markets in Cambodia, but also for the entire ASEAN.
Long Dimanche and his team were welcomed by Park Young Su, the Vice President of Coker Business Division on a visit to the LG Company Park in Yougsan Gu, South Korea, on Wednesday.
Long Dimanche spoke with LG leaders about the economic potential in Cambodia, more specifically, Phnom Penh's Special Economic Zone, which meets the criteria for LG to build large-scale air-conditioning installations.
The ambassador highlighted the potential of a booming economy - one which has seen a steady 7% in growth over the past three consecutive years, and was named the Asia Economic Tiger, which LG is aiming to expand its market.
