Phnom Penh (FN), June 22 – Heng Samrin, President of the N.A and Bounnhang Vorachith, President of the Laotian N.A, met in Laos to review the impact of Cambodia-Laos relations.

President Vorachith praised Cambodia's progress, stressing, “I see that the people of Cambodia and Laos are neighbors and good friends because the two countries share rivers and always help each other in every situation,".

"I am delighted to see the Royal Government of Cambodia make every effort to build a prosperous country. Laos seems to be making progress in Cambodia as well," he added.

N.A President, Heng Samrin expressed his gratitude to Mr. Bounnhang Vorachith, who took time from his very busy schedule to speak with the delegation.

He added that over the past six decades, relations and cooperation between the two countries have strengthened and expanded continuously to create a valuable relationship between the two nations.

“On behalf of the N.A, I strongly support the cooperation between the two countries in the framework of the Party and the State to bring prosperity to our two nations, who have struggled through many challenges together, to preserve the identity and dignity of our nation from colonialism and imperialism," said Heng Samrin.
