TOKYO, June 19 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. Navy confirmed on Monday that the seven crew members reported missing after a collision between the U.S. Navy's guided-missile destroyer USS Fitzgerald and a Philippine container vessel were dead.
The remains of the seven sailors were located in flooded berthing compartments, after divers gained access to the spaces, June 18, that were damaged in the collision, said the U.S. navy in a statement on its website.
