RIO DE JANEIRO, June 7 (Xinhua) -- The Brazilian government on Wednesday condemned the two terrorist attacks in Iran's capital earlier in the day, which killed at least 13 people and wounded 43 others.
Brazil expresses condolences to the families of the victims and solidarity with the Iranian government and people, the Brazilian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, adding that the country condemned any act of terrorism, regardless of motivation.
The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for the attacks on Iran's parliament and Imam Khomeini Shrine.
