Phnom Penh (FN), June 6 – 22 Cambodians were recently detained by Thai authorities for using false documents to cross the Thai border illegally.

“There are 24 people currently being detained by the Thai authorities. They are being treated well and are receiving three meals per day,” said a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

An additional two were arrested for their ties to the detainees.

“The Consulate General is seeking volunteer attorneys to help these people,” he added.
