Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 7 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and his spouse Pich Chanmony departed Phnom Penh on Wednesday morning (Feb. 7) for a one-day official visit to Thailand.

The visit was made at the invitation of Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin.

Accompanying Samdech Thipadei and First Lady Pich Chanmony Hun Manet are the First Vice-chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia Sun Chanthol, Cambodian Foreign Minister Sok Chenda Sophea, along with senior ministers, other ministers, key government officials, and business leaders from the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce.

During the visit, Samdech Thipadei and the first lady will granted a Royal Audience by late Thai King Moha Vijiralongkorn Phra Vaijiraklaochaoyuhua. Samdech Thipadei will pay separate courtesy calls on leaders of the Thai parliament, including the President of the Senate Pornpetch Wichitcholchai, and Present of the National Assembly and Speaker of the House of Representatives Wanmuhamadnoor Matha.

Samdech Thipadei and Prime Minister Srettha will hold talks on bilateral and multilateral cooperation in areas of common interest. They will also preside over the signing of numerous documents on bilateral cooperation. In addition, Samdech Thipadei will deliver opening remarks at the Cambodia-Thailand Business Forum.

The visit is expected to consolidate the enduring ties and traditional bonds of friendship between the two countries, guided by the spirit of their Enhanced Partnership for Peace and Prosperity, bringing mutual benefits for the two peoples as well as peace, stability, and prosperity for the ASEAN Community and beyond.
