Banteay Meanchey (FN), May 31 – The Cambodian Commander of Military Region 5, Gen. Bun Seng, met with Thai Lt. Gen. Apirat Kongsompong, 1st Army Area Commander, to discuss logistical efficiencies for Cambodian workers returning home for elections.

Cambodia has requested that Thailand relax the documentation process so workers may have ample time to participate in the electoral process.

The meeting also stressed diplomacy and military cooperation with combating terrorism and the transnational crackdown on drug traffickers.
