Phnom Penh (FN), May 31 – The Ministry of Tourism has requested that business owners, karaoke, and other entertainment clubs suspend alcohol sales the day before and on Election Day.

The Department of Tourism is responsible for implementing the circular nationwide.

The focus is to ensure a just, free, and safe environment commune election on June 04, 2017.

The notices clarify the regulations and procedures of the commune election mandate and advise against threats, intimidation, and disorderly behavior that can occur due to drinking alcohol.
