Phnom Penh (FN), May 23 – The President of Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC), Keo Ramy, asked youngsters to appreciate Cambodia’s freedom and peace, as there has been many human right violations and much violence elsewhere around the world.
The statement was made during a presentation on human rights institution held at Royal University of Phnom Penh on Tuesday.
“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Sen, Cambodia has peace, political stability, and human rights that allow all of you to pursue higher education, unlike women in the past who did not have chance to study,” stated Keo Ramy.
“The premier liberated Cambodia from the Khmer Rouge Regime so we all have the right to live. That is the biggest right!,” he added.
The president of CHRC reminded all of the students to vote in the upcoming commune council election.
