CHICAGO, May 17 (Xinhua) -- A tornado swept through Barron County of the State of Wisconsin in U.S. Midwest on Tuesday, killing one person and injured 25 others, local media reported.
Prairie Lakes Estates trailer park in north of Chetek suffered the most damage, Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald told local media. He described the scene as "total devastation" and they are still in a search pattern.
Chetek Mayor Jeff Martin told KSTP-TV that numerous emergency vehicles went to the trailer park. He estimated the park had around 50 mobile homes.
The tornado touched down in the area just after 5:30 p.m. (2330 GMT), the National Weather Service reported.
A mobile home is a particularly dangerous place to be during a tornado, according to the National Weather Service.
