Phnom Penh (FN),May 10 - In a post on Facebook, the French embassy condemned the men behind the deaths of four Cambodian peacekeepers.
The embassy promises that those responsible for the attack will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
"We would like to express our deepest condolences to family of the victims and Cambodia's authority for the tragedy on May 8 in Central African Republic that led to the loss of 4 Cambodian peacekeepers," the post read.
Hun Sen acknowledged that peacekeepers are at risk in certain areas, but promised that Cambodia would not rollback its participation.
He promised that to continue to dispatch more peacekeepers under the U.N. umbrella.
A report by the Cambodian government showed that over the last decade, Cambodia has dispatched 3,557 Cambodian peacekeepers, mostly as deminers, to Sudan, South Sudan, Chad, Central African Republic, Libya, Syria, Mali, and Central Africa.
The French Embassy shared its gratitude towards Cambodia's contributions to protecting civilians in the Central African Republics from sectarian violence.
