Phnom Penh (FN), May 3 - Yang Jiechi, one of the Chinese head officials and advisor to the People's Republic of China, stated that the Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen is the greatest politician in Southeast Asia, and that he would support every steps made by the premier.

This praise was made during the bilateral meeting between Cambodia and China at the end of April 2017, according to the statement released by Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.

The praise was made based on the fact that the Cambodian premier built Cambodia from ground surrounding with continuous wars to be developed with infrastructure, peace and political stability like today.

At the same time, Prime Minister Hun Sen reiterated that he put much effort in Cambodia-China cooperation, especially the "One Road, One Belt" (OROB) Initiative.

The premier proposed Cambodian special economic zones (SEZ) in Sihanoukville province, the highway to Sihanoukville province, and the new airport in Siem Reap province to feature in OROB.

The premier added that China should also take a glance on the electricity to be featured in OROB as mentioned by President Xi Jinping to serve the best interest of Cambodian citizens.
