Phnom Penh (FN), April 25 - It was decided to amend the Cambodia National Rescue Party's (CNRP) criteria of article 47, regarding the selection of Vice Presidents, during a congress that met Tuesday.

The amendment now allows for the selection of Vice Presidents at anytime. The previous article stipulated that VPs must be selected within 30 days, according to Eng Chhay Eang, a CNRP senior official.

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) recognized Kem Sokha as the legitimate president of the CNRP on April 5, 2017.

The MoI, however, has yet to recognize the CNRP’s Vice Presidents – Pol Ham, Mu Sochua, and Eng Chhay Eang, as their elections were in violation of Article 47 of CNRP’s criteria.
