Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 16 – Cambodian prime minister, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet and a high-level delegation departed Phnom Penh on Monday morning (Oct. 16) to attend the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing from 17 to 18 October 2023.

The forum's theme is "High-quality Belt and Road Cooperation: Together for Common Development and Prosperity."

Samdech Thipadei will deliver a keynote address on the "Digital Economy as a New Source of Growth" during the forum, according to the press release dated 14 October 2023.

“On the sidelines, Samdech Thipadei will hold meetings with president Xi and other Chinese leaders to discuss cooperation under bilateral and multilateral frameworks. He will also engage in separate discussions with other foreign dignitaries.

The premier’s participation in the forum reaffirms Cambodia's support for the Belt and Road Initiative, underscoring its commitment to collaborating closely with China to advance high-quality cooperation for shared growth, peace, and sustainable development in the region and beyond.”
