South Korea (FN), April 21 - Cambodian workers in Jeju will be allowed access to a Worker Protection Center, according to Cambodian mission officials in South Korea.

The allowance was confirmed Thursday after the ESP 2017 Conference in Jeju. The Cambodian Ambassador to S. Korea, Long Dimanche, alongside 16 other ambassadors, as well as the governor of Jeju and the President of the Agency for Human Resource Development (AHRD) were in attendance.

"In response to the Cambodian request, the governor of Jeju decided to establish a Protection Center for Foreign Workers and the AHRD will further work to address any remaining issues," stated Long Dimanche.

Cambodia requested the Protection Center, encouraged employers to abide their labor contracts, service vacancies for Cambodian workers, their temporary settlement, and strengthen inspections within factories and enterprises.
