Phnom Penh (FN), April 6 – The Vice President of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerice (CCC), Lim Heng noted that there are 700 Korean companies currently investing in Cambodia's garment and real estate sectors.

The information was made public  Thursday during  Cambodia-Korea Business Partnership Seminar, held in Phnom Penh.

Representatives from 25 companies attended the seminar.

According to Lim Heng, Korean companies are also looking to invest in agriculture.

“Cambodia is seen as a market, as  we have tax exemption status in Europe, Canada, U.S, and China.

The CCC urged the Korean International Trade Association (KITA) to import more from Cambodia,” stated Lim Heng.

“Cambodian-Korean trade was worth $812 million in 2016,” he added.

The seminar allowed CCC and KITA to sign cooperation agreements that will  promote trade, industry, and support trade activities through seminars, business meetings, exhibitions, and other workshops relevant to trade and economy.
