VLADIVOSTOK, March 29 (Xinhua) -- A 6.7-magnitude earthquake hit Russia's Far Eastern Kamchatka peninsula at 7:09 Moscow time(0409 GMT), Kamchatka's branch of the Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences said Wednesday.
"The earthquake occurred in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Kamchatka. The epicenter was about 85 km away from the settlement of Ust-Kamchatsk," the representative of the Russian Academy of Sciences said.
There is no report of casualties or damage so far.
