Fresh News (FN), March 16- The dead body of Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister arrived at Phnom Penh International Airport at 5:04 am on Thursday.
Sok An, 66, died of illness at Beijing hospital in China on Wednesday at 6:32 pm.
As planned, the funeral will be held at his residence in Phnom Penh.
Sok An served as minister of the Office of the Council of Ministers since 1992, and promoted as deputy prime minister and minister with the same portfolio from
2004, passed away on Wednesday in Beijing where he had received medical treatment over the past few days.
Sok An was Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1981 and posted as Ambassador to India in 1985, and deputy foreign minister in 1988.
During his tenure, Sok An had held many jobs including overseeing Angkor Wat temples archeology, airlines industry, and chief negotiator with the United Nations on establishment of Khmer Rouge tribunal.
