SYDNEY, March 9 (Xinhua) -- An Australian man has been charged with over 931 child sex offences, it was announced on Thursday, after posing as Canadian superstar Justin Bieber, in order to get children to send him sexually explicit content online.
The man, aged 42, had also been charged previously in relation to a string of child sex crimes, which included possessing exploitation material, and using a service to "groom" children under the age of consent.
Police conducted a full exploration of his computer, and have added a further 931 charges this week, with the man allegedly involved in rape, indecent treatment of children, and making child exploitation material, among other crimes.
Police say the man allegedly used social media and online platforms, such as Facebook and Skype, to communicate with his young victims.
The man, from the state of Queensland, has allegedly been committing these offences dating back to at least 2007.
