Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 16 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen asked if three-generation traitor Sam Rainsy dares to bet with Cambodian army commander lieutenant general Hun Manet on the allegations that Manet brought USD 5 million to France in order to gain political supporters.
"Do you dare, three-generation traitor?,” the premier wrote on his Facebook page on Wednesday (Nov 16).
"This person dares to argue with the king and the young generation. Are you tired? If you did not attack others from behind, will the lightning strike?" the premier continued.
On Wednesday morning, Hun Manet called on three-generation traitor Sam Rainsy to quit politics if the latter failed to provide evidence on the allegation that Manet brought USD 5 million to France in order to gain political support for Cambodian People's Party (CPP).
"If you have concrete evidence to support your baseless accusations, you should dare to bet with me to end my political life. In this sense, you can also maintain your dignity by not letting citizens criticize you [Sam Rainsy] as an old politician without morality [attacking other from behind]. How come an old politician dares to fake the story to attack the young generation without shame,” Manet wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
"I ask you [Rainsy] to bet on a new claim. If you have evidence to support your allegation, I will quit politics. If not, you [Rainsy] quit politics. We need to bet, as people await to see the truth," Menet added.
In the message, Hun Manet told Sam Rainsy not to waste a golden opportunity to end Hun Manet’s political life, a goal Sam Rainsy always dreams of achieving.
Manet used to call out Rainsy to wager with him over allegations that Manet's degree from West Point was a fake one. However, Rainsy denied.
Manet called Rainsy an immature and irresponsible politician, who could not be a role model for the next generation.
