VLADIVOSTOK, Russia, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- Su-34 fighter bombers of Russia's Eastern Military District have finished a special flying task course by carrying out bomb strikes at the one of the Russian Far East region's training grounds, the district's press-service said Friday.
"Crews of multipurpose Su-34 fighter-bombers of the air force unit located in Khabarovsk have carried out bomb strikes engaging single ground targets of the simulated enemy. By finishing the course of special flying tasks, pilots have become instructors in piloting of Su-34 bombers," TASS said on Friday, citing the head of the Eastern Military District press service Col. Alexander Gordeyev.
The crew has also practiced flight at low and medium altitudes, landing in bad weather condition and other different tasks.
The Sukhoi Su-34 fighter bomber is designed to hit ground targets as well as naval ones. It is capable of engaging even small mobile targets and aerial targets in daytime and at night, under favorable and adverse weather conditions.
