TEGUCIGALPA, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) — Four people have died and 15 others went missing amid a heavy storm that has battered Honduras since Saturday, officials said Monday.
The country's disaster management agency said that a 49-year-old fisherman drowned early Sunday off the coast of the northern port of Omoa, after his boat capsized.
Three people died and 14 more went missing when a naval boat carrying 35 people capsized in a lagoon along Honduras' Mosquito Coast.
In Roatan, a popular tourism destination in the Honduran Caribbean, Canadian tourist Maurene Patricia Lalonde, 73, went missing while scuba diving on Saturday.
