SOFIA, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- A train carrying gas derailed Saturday morning in Bulgaria, killing at least four people and injuring 12 others, the Bulgarian Interior Ministry said.
The accident occurred at around 5:45 a.m. (0345 GMT) at the railway station of Hitrino, some 370 km northeast of the capital city of Sofia, the ministry said in a statement.
"The building of the train station, several nearby buildings and vehicles were destroyed," the statement said.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is under way.
