GENEVA, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) — The Islamic State (IS) fighters executed 232 people near Mosul in Iraq on Thursday, Doha-based Al Jazeera quoted a UN spokeswoman as saying on Friday.

The fighters also seized over 1000 people as human shield, the spokeswoman said in Geneva.
