HO CHI MINH CITY, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City plans to build 103 reservoirs to prevent flooding, at total investment of some 1,300 billion (58 million U.S. dollars), the municipal Steering Center of the Urban Flood Control Program said Friday.
Ho Chi Minh City will, in the coming time, will build underground Bau Cat Reservoir with a capacity of holding 10,000 square meters in Tan Binh District, Khanh Hoi Reservoir cum a park in District 4, and Go Dua Reservoir in Thu Duc District.
The city also plans to construct reservoirs at Tan Son Nhat international airport which has recently suffered from inundation when it downpours.
