Phnom Penh (FN), May 27 – Just as scheduled, Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation signed an agreement on the exchange of notes and records of discussions on a grant amounting to ¥3.206 million ($31.930 Million) with the Japanese side at 3:30pm today, September 27, 2016.
The signing ceremony was held this afternoon at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs between Mr. Long Visalo, Secretary of State and Acting Minster of Foreign Affairs with Japan’s Ambassador to Cambodia, Mr. Yuji Kumamaru.
The Japanese grant to Cambodia will cover two projects one of which is for integrated land mine clearance and support to landmine victims, Phase III, and the other is for improvement of transport capacity of buses in Phnom Penh.
