HANOI, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) — More than 3,000 Vietnamese laborers, who failed to meet Lao legal regulations on foreign workers, have returned to Vietnam through two international border gates in central Quang Tri province.
The labors, mainly from Vietnam's central localities, worked in Laos without work permits, reported the state-run news agency VNA on Wednesday.
Quang Tri border guard said the Lao government has recently tightened the management of foreigners working in the country, giving them three months to register with labor agencies.
The agencies will then decide if they can continue to work in Laos, reported VNA.
