Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 9 – Cambodian National Police denied the alleged abduction of a Thai activist Wanchalearm Satsaksit in the capital Phnom Penh.
National Police spokesperson Lieutenant General Chhay Kim Khoeun told Fresh News on Tuesday that police are not aware about Wanchalearm’s alleged abduction but already launched the investigation.
Protests flared in Bangkok on Monday in front of Cambodian embassy against the suspected kidnapping of Wanchalearm.
Wanchalearm fled to Cambodia after the military coup in 2014 to escape criminal charges for criticising the former Thai junta after 2014 coup.
