Siem Reap (FN), Dec. 3 – An under-construction pagoda in Siem Reap province of the kingdom's northwest collapsed around 3:00 pm on 2 December 2019.
19 workers were reportedly trapped in the rubble building, according to the press release of spokesperson of Siem Reap Administration dated Monday.
As of 7 p.m Monday, 16 were rescued, of which two are Buddhist monks. They are being hospitalized at a referral hospital. Three others found dead, the press release said.
Cambodia's Prime Minister Hun Sen announced to donate USD 750 to each victim and USD 5,000 to the deceased, according to Kun Kim, National Committee Disaster Management first vice president.
