Phnom Penh (FN), July 13 – Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen and Samdech Bun Rany will depart Cambodia tomorrow, July 14, 2016 leading a high-ranking delegation to attend the 11th Asia-Europe Meeting that will take place on July 15-16, in Mongolia.
The premier wrote on his Facebook page this morning that apart from attending the meeting, he will meet with Prime Ministers of China and Japan as well as South Korean president, and many other heads of state and government that come to the meeting, which is a normal practice by state leaders.
“Tomorrow, July 14, 2016, my wife and I will lead a high-level Cambodian delegation to attend the 11th Asia-Europe Meeting in Mongolia. This is a regular bi-annual meeting between heads of state and heads of government of 51 countries plus two organizations namely the ASEAN secretariat and the European Commission,” the premier wrote in a post on his Facebook page.
“Cambodia joined the group at the same time with Laos, Myanmar and four other European countries in 2014 in Hanoi, Vietnam, during the 5th meeting,” the premier wrote. “Since then I have regularly lead Cambodian delegations to attend the meetings in 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014 in Finland, China, Belgium, Laos, Italy respectively and lastly will be in Mongolia in 2016,” he added.
