BEIJING, July 8 (Xinhua) — China on Friday expressed strong dissatisfaction with and resolute opposition to deployment of a U.S. missile defense system in the Republic of Korea (ROK).

The ROK Defense Ministry announced earlier Friday that the ROK and the United States have decided to deploy a U.S. THAAD anti-missile system.

"The Chinese side is strongly dissatisfied with and firmly opposes to this," says a statement issued by China's foreign ministry.
