SINGAPORE, June 27 (Xinhua) -- A Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight caught fire while making emergency landing at Changi Airport on Monday morning, local media reported.
Flight SQ368 had departed Singapore for Milan, Italy at 2: 05 a. m. on Monday. About two hours into the flight, the pilot announced that there was an engine problem and the flight would be turning back to Singapore.
The plane landed at Changi Airport at about 7:00 a.m. local time, and its right wing burst into flames after the plane landed. The fire was extinguished quickly, according to video clips uploaded to social media by passengers who were onboard.
All passengers subsequently disembarked from the plane, and no injuries reported, according to the Straits Times.
