KUALA LUMPUR, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia's crown prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud has postponed a visit to Malaysia, Malaysia's Foreign Minister Saifuddin Abdullah said on Saturday.

Confirming the postponement at a press conference, Saifuddin said he was informed of the decision by the Saudi Arabian side on Friday night, adding that no reason was given.

"Normally in the diplomatic world, we do not ask why, we just have an understanding and certainly there must be an understandable reason as to why the visit was postponed," Saifuddin said.

The Saudi crown prince was scheduled to visit Malaysia on Feb. 17-18 as part of a multi-country tour.
