Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 16 - Deputy Prime Minister Hor Namhong led a delegation to attend the 4th Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting to be held on 16-17 December 2018 in Luang Prabang, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, according to the ministry’s press release dated Friday.
The 4th MLC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, under the theme “Enhancing Partnership of Shared Prosperity”, aims to review the progress of the implementation of the Five-Year Plan of Action of the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (2018-2022) and to discuss the future direction of this cooperation for sustainable development in the Mekong Subregion.
At the conclusion, the Meeting is expected to adopt two documents: Joint Press Communiqué of the 4th MLC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting; and Progress Report of the Year 2018 on Implementing of the MLC Five-Year Plan of Action.
During his stay in Lao PDR, Deputy Prime Minister Hor Namhong will have a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Wang Yi, State Counsellor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.
