Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 9 - At the invitation of His Excellency Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, led a high delegation to pay an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam from 6 to 8 December 2018, with a view to foster friendly relations and promote cooperation between the two countries. During this visit, Prime Minister made courtesy calls on His Excellency Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party and President of Viet Nam, and Her Excellency Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Chairwoman of Viet Nam’s National Assembly and held a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, according to foreign affairs ministry’s press release dated Sunday.
“Cordially welcoming the visit of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, the Vietnamese leaders expressed great pleasure to see Cambodia’s remarkable development progress and enhanced stature thanks to the stewardship of the Royal Government with Samdech Techo Hun Sen at the helm. Samdech Techo Prime Minister congratulated Viet Nam’s outstanding socio-economic achievement which is not only propelling the country toward its industrialization and modernization goals, but also contributing to the economic growth and prosperity in the region,” the press release added.
