GHAZNI, Afghanistan, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- A total of 20 militants have been killed and four others sustained injuries as fighting aircrafts pounded Taliban hideouts in parts of the eastern Ghazni province over the past 24 hours, an army statement released here on Thursday said.
According to the statement, the fighting aircrafts targeted Taliban hideouts in Andar and Qarabagh districts since Wednesday morning, killing 20 militants and destroying several of the militants' bunkers and weapon caches.
Taliban militants who are in control of parts of the troubled Ghazni province begun attacking on the peaceful Jaghori district on Nov. 7 to expand influence in the central region.
Taliban militants haven't commented yet.
