Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 5 - Kong Bora, Son of Former Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) lawmaker Kong Korm, warned Eng Chhai Eang, former Vice President of the CNRP, for stating that Kong Korm does politics for his own interests, not for national interests.
"There is nothing strange for the former senior opposition party to change his political stance to support Hun Sen; a group of former opposition members have been waiting for an opportunity to change their politics to get power and wealth instead of serving nation interests,” Eng Chhai Eang recently told Radio Free Asia.
In response to Eang’s statement, Kong Bora, who is Kong Korm’s son, wrote on his Facebook on Monday that “If Kong Korm is really with Hun Sen, he would not have given up his position as CPP’s minister and would not have taken his house as the headquarter of political party to assist Sam Rainsy for over 20 years.”
